Health and special educational needs

The research group of health and special educational needs is concerned with the description and analysis of prevention, and with the planning of support schemes, support and assistance of students. A main focus of interest in this regard is on questions that primarily concern students from state schools who are subject to current or potential limitations or impairments of their learning, their development or their health. In this respect, the focus is on processes, measures and interventions as well as on their effects.

The following subject areas constitute current research emphases regarding the content of the research group's work:

  • Integrative special educational support in regular schools

    • Processes of allocating resources for special educational support
    • Planning, realisation and effects of integrative measures of special educational support
    • Collaboration in the planning of support schemes and the support of students with special educational needs
    • Standardisation and performance measurement in education: Effects on children with special educational needs
  • Promotion of health and prevention
